Seddon Cricket Club vs St Johns College

  • On Thursday 1st February 2024, Seddon Cricket Club hosted St Johns College at Seddon Park.

Seddon Cricket Club has invited 5 secondary schools to play us at Seddon Park during this season. The purpose of these games is to boost the appeal of cricket within those schools and to reward schools that put genuine time and energy into their cricket programmes.

Seddon Cricket Club selected a team full of youth also, as we picked a number of players that recently travelled to the South Island for the Queenstown Cricket Carnival and Willows Tour.

It was wonderful to see so many young and enthusiastic cricketers enjoying their time on Seddon Park.

Well done Alex KeoghKeogh (58) and A Spelman (51) who recorded half centuries.

Thank you to the parents and supporters that attended.

A big thank you to Karl Johnson and the rest of the groundmen at Seddon Park for all their hard work.

Thank you to Cameron McLeod at Burger Fuel for once again supplying lunch.

Thank you to Gatorade New Zealand for producing the much needed fluid! It was hot!!

Thank you to Rod Newton for umpiring – great stuff Rod!

On 16th of March we will invite Hauraki Plains College, Waikato Diocesen for Girls and Hillcrest High School to Seddon Park. We look forward to it.
