The inaugural Seddon Cricket Club vs Northern Districts Past Players match was a fantastic success yesterday at Tamahere. Thank you to the Match Day Sponsors Mitre 10 Trade, and also, to Good George for lending us their inflatable bar!

The purpose of the day was to give some of ND’s past players a platform to rekindle old friendships and reconnect with each other. There were some great stories told in a fantastic festive atmosphere.

Thanks to the supporters that attended. We hope you had a great day. A big thank to Matt Palmer at Five Stags Leamington for providing the catering. Superb. The ground and pitch that was prepared by Matt Stark and Scott Woolston looked an absolute picture.

Northern Districts Past Players XI showed that they have lost none of their ability. Class is permanent! The difference between players that have played international and first class cricket compared to guys that have battled away at club level most of their lives, is quite remarkable. It was a real pleasure to witness first-hand the quality of Joey Yovich, James Marshall, Hamish Marshall, Matthew Hart Rob Hart, Brett Hood, Mark Orchard, Aaron Bradley, Nathan Daley, James Baker and Mark Bailey.
