On Friday 20th of January 2024, Seddon Cricket Club hosted the touring Haberdashers Cricket Club at Tamahere Cricket Ground. The spine of the Haberdashers are Teachers that are based in the Central North Island, they play home games at Huntley School.

The purpose of these games for Seddon Cricket Club is to give our adult members an opportunity to don the whites and connect with other like minded cricket enthusiasts.

Games are always played in great spirit and many friendships have been developed through these types of matches throughout the country.

Seddon Cricket Club scored 187 for 7 off 20 overs. Jason Hussey on debut scoring 53no and Tim Henwood scoring 50no.

In reply Haberdashers Cricket Club scored 157 with James Farquhar scoring 87no. Jerem Wylie was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3 for 18 off 4 overs.
