CRAIGS INVESTMENT PARTNERS MINI PUTT CHALLENGE 2024

In two weeks’ time all eyes will be on Augusta National as the best golfers in the world compete for the coveted green jacket. However, last week all eyes were on Prodrive Golf in Hamilton as the best business people in Hamilton competed for Mini Putt supremacy.

Our good friends from Craigs Investment Partners host an annual Mini Putt Challenge for the Hamilton business community, which is now unbelievably, in its 13th Year!

This is a fantastic business networking and community initiative from the Craigs team. The entry fee from each team, which is made up of representatives from Hamilton businesses, is donated to a different community group each year. This year Seddon Cricket Club were the very thankful recipients.

The cohesive team from Craigs were simply fantastic in the way they set up an environment that encouraged plenty of banter, laughter and of course great Mini Putt! They provided players with a well-cooked BBQ, ice cold refreshments, and great prizes that enticed even the most casual Mini Putter to aim correctly.

To ensure there was a cricket theme…it be rude if there wasn’t….Seddon Cricket Club were asked to run an activity on the 19th hole for the many teams that entered.

Two members from each team had to wear key cricketing items - A pad, a glove, and some head wear. They were then made to hit a cricket ball into a golf hole in the fewest number of shots. This unique activity resulted in some embarrassing situations but all in the name of good fun as the masses were able to create plenty of laughs and some excellent photo opportunities.

The money raised this year will directly impact 12 under 17 youth players from the Northern Districts region that show signs of promise but lack quality cricket experiences because of their location and lack of access to resources. The players will receive mentoring and coaching from past Northern Districts representative players and travel to the Willows Club in Canterbury for a series of matches.

There are many special people in this great city of ours and it was wonderful to have so many in the one place at the same time. A huge thank you to Craigs Investment Partners and all the wonderful businesses that supported this event.

We look forward to the 14th edition of this superb Mini Putt Challenge…maybe competing for the pink and burgundy jacket…
